LastCommit

Protocol forensics

When maintenance stops, proof begins.

LastCommit uses GenLayer consensus to determine when a project has truly been abandoned — and what should happen next.

Last commit is not abandonment

A repository can show 42 recent commits: 38 dependency bots, 2 typo fixes, one README edit, one version bump. A naive counter says ACTIVE. LastCommit asks whether meaningful development and stewardship actually continue.

Activity

Commits, releases, website uptime — signals, not verdicts.

Stewardship

Human maintenance, issue care, credible continuation.

ACTIVE

Meaningful development or stewardship continues.

DORMANT

Low activity, not enough to declare abandoned.

ABANDONED

Stewardship has ceased under the registered policy.

INSUFFICIENT_EVIDENCE

Sources cannot support a reliable conclusion.

Why GenLayer

Web access, LLM reasoning, independent validators, semantic consensus, onchain state. The verdict is not computed by a private backend.
